ProTen provides specialist timber treatment services

Here at ProTen Services, we provide survey, diagnosis and treatment for properties affected by dry rot, wet rot and woodworm. Damp and moist conditions that are ongoing, combined with a lack of ventilation will provide the ideal environment for dry rot, fungus and woodworm to form and take hold causing widespread damage and decay to the timbers in a property.

What to look out for

  • Damp, mushroom smell
  • Softening and shrinking of timber
  • Cracking and crumbling timbers
  • Evidence of spores and fungal growth
  • Small holes or tunnel like grooves in timbers
  • Spongy feel to timbers

How ProTen resolves dry rot, wet rot and woodworm problems

Using an in-depth understanding of the unique characteristics and causes associated with beetle infestation, fungal and dry rot attack, our surveyors will conduct a damp and timber survey to assess for the reasons that have caused the problem and recommend the correct timber treatment and repair programme that will ensure long term cure and protection.

The cause of the timber decay problem will be detailed in an Inspection Report along with supporting recommendations and a quotation for the necessary work. This can include woodworm spray treatment, replacement of timbers and the right treatment approach to prevent further problems such as the spread of dry rot.

Our timber treatment solutions are carried out by experienced operatives who are trained and qualified and using only the most effective products. We work to ensure that all buildings receive a high-quality solution, using the most appropriate timber, woodworm and dry rot treatment procedures, methods and materials to provide results that work.
